Currently, around 85% of the UK’s homes and industry are heated by gas and biomethane is one of the most cost effective ways of decarbonising the gas network.
CNG stands for Compressed Natural Gas. Bio-CNG, (or compressed Biomethane) differs from fossil-derived CNG as it is made from organic waste that has made methane in an anaerobic digester and does not have a fossil fuel origin.
