In 1985 joined Costain Engineering Limited as a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer working on various petrochemical chemical projects for Texaco (Pembroke) and BP (Grange mouth) and Shell (Runcorn).
In 1994 took over the position of Construction / Commissioning Principal Engineer on a 40 MWe generation station and associated on shore gas processing plant, successfully implementing a revised working and testing regime to recover a six week delay in construction.
In 1996 joined Independent Energy as Project Manager with overall responsibility for the planning, design (including gas and electrical connections), construction and commissioning for various CHP schemes utilizing a mixture of onshore gas reserves and LTS (Transco) connections.
In 2001 joined Lattice Energy Services as Project Manager. Accountable for the design, construction, commissioning and operation of two individual combined cooling and power (CCP) schemes installed to provide resilient power and cooling to two Data Centres. Also responsible for the daily operation of a 22MW combined heat and power (CHP) scheme, providing power and heat to a potash extraction and processing facility.
In 2005 joined Costain-Petrofac as Senior Project Engineer for the British Gas Morcambe Bay gas field. The project entailed modifications to gas production platform, DP8, to simplify the gas extraction process, resulting in reduced operational and maintenance costs of up to 30%. Accountable for the onshore design engineering and procurement and the offshore implementation.
In 2006 joined EcoCentroGen Limited as Project Manager. Involved in four CHP energy centre designs for combined residential / commercial developments. Accountable for the gas and electrical connection application and the design and implementation of the private wire networks on the above developments.
In 2008 joined CSL as Project Manager, working on the Moorland Energy gas development, which involved carrying out a technical and financial feasibility study into the proposed development, delivery of the conceptual design, submission of a detailed planning application for the well site, associated pipe lines and the gas processing facility, delivery of the Front End Engineering Design and +/-20% cost estimate, prior to award of the Detailed Design.
In 2011 joined Bio Group as Project Director, accountable for the development of a waste food to biomethane process plant (BtG), with particular responsibilities for the development of the project deliverables, subcontractor contracts, procurement, utility provision, financial reporting, and construction management.
In 2013 joined CSL as Project Manager working on various onshore gas developments.
