Anna joined the CNG services graduate programme in 2014 as part of the Process Engineering team. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering as well as a Masters in Energy and Environmental Engineering.
She has brought a wealth of experience from her research projects which have looked at sustainable solutions around green and sustainable technologies that can be applied to industries to drive energy efficiency. Her research concentrated on projects that can be delivered by local communities and its partners at Linlithgow Cross in Scotland with a focus on gas generation, biogas boilers and large CHP cogeneration systems. Additionally, she was also involved in a project to increase cement yield capacity in concrete from 15% – 90% to improve the mechanical, thermal and tensile strength properties for a multi-national infrastructure company.
In her over 2 years at CNG Services, Anna has worked on several high value Biomethane Gas to Grid projects as well as High Pressure Pipeline systems. This has included carrying out the initial feasibility studies of the projects right through to the detailed design. Working closely with the project management team, she provides process input and advice from the project specification stage, equipment procurement, construction, right through to the final commissioning stage. She is also actively involved in post commissioning troubleshooting and optimisation before final handover to operations.
With a strong focus on Process Safety, Anna has been the focal point for this and ensures that Safety assessments such as HAZOPs and Hazardous Area Classifications are carried out for the continual and safe operation of a facility. She is also responsible in compiling the Design books for projects and ensuring that all the engineering information is collated and can be handed over to the clients at the end of the project.
Most recently, she was involved as part of the design team to develop a bespoke Pressure Reduction System (PRS) that was developed in-house, to assist CNG services in commissioning gas to Grid projects.
Anna is an Associate Member of the IChemE (AIChemE) and the Institute of Gas Engineers (IGEM).
